COMMANDERS CORNER
As membership goes, we are not receiving renewals at a great rate. It sure would be great to get a 100% membership, by May 30th, which is the end of the fiscal year for American Legion membership. If you have not renewed by then, you may lose your continuous membership and start over again. Quite possibly some members do not realize what it means to be a Legionnaire, or maybe they just forgot it is renewal time. I prefer to think the latter, as it usually is the case.
Now that the newsletter will be published every three months, this will be my last article, as I will not be running for, nor will I accept the nomination for Post Commander, or any other elected office, so don't write me in, as I will decline, which will be good news to some members. As it is, I have served as Post Commander for a total of 2 ½ years. Now is time for some one else to take the reins of this organization.
I will continue to serve as Chairman of Post 7 Boys State Program, and the ROTC Awards Program presentations to the University of Arizona, and Catalina, Cholla, Desert View, and Flowing Wells High Schools, as well as serve as a counselor during the Arizona Boys State Session, and, as a member of the Arizona Boys State Board of Directors.
